About the Artist

Linda Brett is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator whose work explores nature, form, texture, and quiet observation. Through watercolor, printmaking, drawing, photography, book arts, and costume design, her practice reflects a deep appreciation for process, detail, and the stories that live inside handmade work.

Her background spans both the fine arts and education. Linda spent many years teaching art and design, guiding students through creative exploration while helping them build confidence in their own voices. She has worked in public and charter schools, developed curriculum, and continues to support arts education through community programs.

Alongside her studio practice, Linda is a board member of the Museum of Arizona Artists, where she helps connect artists, educators, and students through exhibitions, outreach, and free classroom resources. This work reflects her belief that art should be accessible, meaningful, and shared.

In addition to her visual artwork, Linda has an extensive background in costume design for musical theatre and historical productions. Creating garments for the stage deepened her understanding of storytelling, craftsmanship, and the relationship between art and movement—an influence that continues to shape her studio work today.

Linda is also the founder of The Art Doc, an education and community platform dedicated to supporting artists and teachers through workshops, professional development, and creative resources.

Designing Art Studio serves as an evolving archive of her creative journey and a place to share the work that continues to inspire her practice.
